Getting on KSF servers after CSS Update?
How can I get onto KSF servers after the recent CSS update? Each ksf server says that the server is running on an older version of the game and won't let me connect.
I tried switching my beat participation to the previous build but then am met with an error saying that steam cannot locate cstrike_win64.exe and am not really sure what to do.
I thought CSS ran off hl2.exe?

Same here... resorting to cs2 for now.

It seems it is working for some people who are relaunching in beta version, but we need some step-by-step instructions how to do it until KSF updates
-
you need to rename hl2.exe to cstrike_win64.exe ^_^

i actually did try that, then it told me it couldn't find "gameinfo.txt" in one of the folders, I then created that file and then it said that it was in an invalid format soooooo idk man the mystery continues

Alright triangle riders i figured it out. Just going to lay out things to do step by step
1. Right click CSS in steam -> properties -> betas -> beta participation -> previous build
2. right click CSS -> manage -> browse local files
3. rename hl2.exe to cstrike_win64.exe
4. try to launch through steam, if this doesn't work (it says gameinfo.txt doesn't exist) go into your cstrike folder
5. In cstrike, copy the "gameinfo.txt" file and go back to the main CSS folder, go into hl2 and paste in "gameinfo.txt"
This should get it to work
Thanks valve lol

I decided to join the Discord and found the solution. Just one more step
6. Right click game in Steam, click "Properties" and in "launch options" type "-game cstrike"
This fixed it for me!
