To be fair, it is possible to make it solely on g1 points; you'd need quite a bit though no doubt. It may help to get your percent completion to be a little bit higher before hand too, to around 70% to get you to around 22192 points (This being an estimate because points depend on which tier of maps you have beaten). Meaning you'd need to get around 28657 improvement points (g1s and g2s) to get to PRO. If you wanted to cut that down a bit, you could go for 80% completion which could cut down the amount of g1s needed to around 24000 or 26000.

I never really took count of the amount of g1's I had when I was PRO but around then I was around 90% completion with around I'd say 24000 improvement points or so.

24000 improvement points isn't much if you don't mind going for g1's on some tedious maps; just remember there's 402 maps a this current time on ksf to get g1 on, a quarter of which can easily get you to said goal of 24000 points.

If you're talking about CSGO, it's not that hard to get to PRO since maps give a shit ton of g1 points there. CSS takes a little longer though.
