Ping affecting time?

Ok so everyone I ask says that ping only matters when it comes to bhopping and boosters. While it does apply to those 2 I SWEAR that it affects your time too. I've been on the Australian server with a ping of 120 or something high like that and get a +.60 on something that on the US server in which I usually get a ping of 90-60 I'll normally get a +.20 or something. I've even experience it on the same server too. I mention getting 90-60 ping on the US server. Sometimes when I'm surfing and I have 90 ping, I'll get a +.20 on a map, but when it's 60 ping or so, I'll get a -.10 on the same stage, doing the same thing...




seriously am I crazy or what like I swear this is a thing
