Ok so i know this is nothing to do with ksf or cs but can i have some opinions of this new map I've been making on roblox please?

The blurriness of the ramps can be taken off if you turn down in game graphics, and decorations inspired by omnific, but I've only done decoration up to the 4th ramp so far.

Is it just me or does it look like you're surfing on tick 500? The gloom/blur is pretty aids to watch.

I know, you already said so before, but the video is terrible to watch nonetheless. That's what I meant. I don't feel like rewatching it to comment on the surf because of the bright white stuff.

Roblox studio is a lot easier though, as you can get plugins to do smooth ramps and really easy to test ur own maps

So you rather go the easy way than the proper one?

I never understood why people used "smooth ramps take too long to make" as an excuse for not mapping. Detailing and optimization and other aspects of mapping take much longer than creating ramps. Making curved ramps would take a fraction of the time it took to make the detail in your map. Also with momentum mod it's incredibly easy and fast to test surf maps.

All that being said, play/map for Roblox if you enjoy it. I think Sacreds just trying to say we'd appreciate more skilled mappers in the Source community!

surf looks ok with some good ideas.

But as others already told you, you should start using hammer.

There's a million tutorials out there for nearly everything dealing with hammer. You can also decompile other maps to look at how certain things are done. Just open up hammer and all the resources to learn it are easily available.

Ok guys thanks for the replies and stuff, peronally I've never used hammer i just saw it a couple times and 1st thoughts were that it looks really complicated to learn lol, but eventually i'll get around to trying it out and hopefully build a surf map on there and test it out :)

Most of the buttons in hammer I never/very rarely use, it's not as complicated as it looks.
