spammers prevent legit socialization just like hidechat, so it's a poor solution. best for when you don't want to socialize, or want to surf without interruption

Some VIPs don't bother to gag or might even take part in spamming, CS:S public surf is turning into a meme fest. It's not difficult to improve on the current anti-spam plugin to counter this kind of spam, we shouldn't have to rely on whether or not a VIP is present

Thanks, but I don't play much at the moment. Vips are on often but the NA public server is fairly neglected as far as moderation goes, while in the Expert & Vet servers that shit doesn't fly. I can't afford VIP now so having to deal with the shit public server is often just a bad experience

Mic spammers aren't a problem because most of KSF socialization occurs in chat. Self-muting is a good solution. All we need for the anti-spam chat plugin is persistent mutes/gags to prevent rejoin evasion, and gradually increase the automatic gag time when spamming has been detected, possibly upwards of 15 to 30 minutes. The current 3-second automatic gag is pointless

Everytime i go to public i have to gag someone , and they avoid it , so yeah , we need more admins on PUBLIC not EXP and VET svs.. (aka Sunday4ksf) public = meme party

If something similar happens, try to contact an admin to take care of it. We know that the admins are on the Pro/Vet/Europe servers most of the time, but we can join the public server to take care of it.. You only need to reach us out

I will add an escalation of gag time based on how much the person is spamming to help lower the spam.

There's a mod to make gags and mutes time based so you can't just rejoin dodge them, might be worth adding too if you're doing this.

Yeah I will implement it. I wrote my own plugin for gag/mute. I seldom use existing plugins.
