Hello people of KSF!

I have been working on a linear surf map (unfinished) and so far I am feeling good about it, but would like other peoples opinions on whether or not it looks good and is worth continuing.

Map is pretty far from being completed, and the textures are not how I would like them to be at the moment.

I personally like what i see.. How huge is the gap in the spin height wise? (CS:GO model concerns)

Great! The gap between each part of the spin is 256 units.

hmm Ive tested my map many times, and the ramps are fine, but I can make them wider. Could someone tell me how I could put my map up for testing? like for other people to test out my map?

I do think that you should continue with the project. However there are some problems that I see.

Firstly, you need to pack the textures you used into the map or else everyone will see purple and black boxes everywhere.
Secondly, you should make sure to disable fall damage and remove weapons from the player. I have a template file that I could send you if you like, it will do all of what you need.

On to the surf, I like the beginning, all up to the spin. I don't like the spin, its too intense too soon; everything before it is calm but once you get to the spin you have no time to think. The rest of the map feels too close together because of the speed you get from the spin. I think you should spread things out a little more or reduce the overall speed at that point to give people time to think about what is happening. My suggestion is to change the spin to just a 180 turn without any strafes. You could then move the rest of the map up thus reducing speed into the next part. I think would fit the style better as well.

Thank you for the feedback! I will begin making changes today and post another link. As far as the textures go, I am unsure what packing the textures means, ill try and look it up and fix it. Thanks again for taking the time to test it out for me! advice given is much appreciated.

Scrapped other map, now I'm sticking with this one. textures packed. no damage from falling, player does not receive weapons, and triggers everywhere they need to be.

I am getting the purple and black box texture everywhere. Refer to my last post talking about packing textures.
