Why are Pictures/Banners That People Post So Tall but Not so wide? like this..

This 1 is like Really Professional Type Thing.. It shows Pic of current map top10 player of server whos online, whats next map gona be ,
The ip,Players,server name, With the Server Rank... lol all in 1 but i dont like it xD welll here it is.. btw this is html banner not like 1 of them above...
